GRADING RAW CARDS

Some customers choose to submit raw cards purchased from Ancestral to third-party grading companies such as CGC, PSA, and BGS for authentication and grading.

Ancestral guarantees the authenticity of all raw cards we sell. If a grading company determines that a card purchased from us is inauthentic or has undisclosed alterations, please contact us immediately.

Each grading company has its own grading standards, which may differ from our conditioning standards and from one another. As a result, the same card may receive different grades or condition descriptions from different grading companies, or even from the same company if resubmitted.

Because grading is subjective and outside our control, Ancestral does not guarantee that any raw card will receive a particular grade from any grading company. We evaluate and describe our raw cards honestly and to the best of our ability. Customers seeking a specific grade from a specific grading company should purchase a card that has already been graded.

BUYING GRADED CARDS

Ancestral also sells cards that have been authenticated, graded, and encapsulated by major grading companies such as CGC, PSA, and BGS. Because such graded cards are sealed in protective holders, we cannot inspect them as thoroughly as raw cards.

Ancestral guarantees that graded cards we sell are encased in authentic holders with authentic labels issued by the grading company shown on the label. However, the authenticity and condition guarantees for the card itself are provided by the grading company according to its own standards and policies, not by Ancestral.

CGC guarantees the authenticity and assigned grade of its graded cards, and PSA guarantees the authenticity of its graded cards.
